INFORMATION FOR BNAEOPC

Bulgarian National Association Essential oils, Perfumery and Cosmetics (BNAEOPC) was founded in 1999. BNAEOPC is a voluntary non-profit association whose mission is to protect and represent the interests of its members and the industry.

BNAEOPC is the only official representative in Bulgaria of the producers and traders of essential oils and aromatherapy; perfumery and cosmetics; packaging and raw materials for cosmetics; scientific institutions in the branch.

BNAEOPC is a member of main international European and Bulgarian organizations – European cosmetic association Cosmetics Europe – The Personal Care Association, European Federation of Essential Oils (EFEO), International association of Natural and Organic Cosmetics (NaTrue), Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association (BICA), Association of Business Clusters (ABC), Made in Bulgaria – The union of Bulgarian business, Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA), Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Bulgarian Institute for Standardization (BDS).

BNAEOPC ACTIVITIES

The main purpose of BNAEOPC is uniting and supporting the efforts of its members for the protection of their creative and professional interests and for the promotion of their public image by being an active participant in the development of the essential oils and perfumery and cosmetic industries in Bulgaria.

PUBLICATIONS

BNAEOPC editions enjoy a great variety. The association issues many guidelines on actual topics as EU or EC Manuals, Guidelines of Cosmetics Europe, IKW, EFEO and MEWB.

Since its establishment in 1999 BNAEOPC has been publishing a Scientific and Information Bulletin which contains articles about BNAEOPC activities, regulatory changes, marketing and scientific information.

INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITIES

BNAEOPC enjoys very intensive international activity:

• Organizes Bulgarian national pavilions both at national and international exhibitions;
• Applies and works under international programs such as ME (OP Competitiveness) with BSMEPA as a beneficiary; MLSP (Human Resources Development Operational Program);
• Successfully registered the Bulgarian rose oil as Protected geographical Indication (PGI “Balgasko rozovo maslo”);
• Organizes the trade missions and business delegations, as well work visits in the field of essential oils, perfumery and cosmetic production;
• Rends a constant support to its members in the field of innovation, launch and relaunch of their products, meeting the requirements of the international standards, raising the quality of their products, etc.

TRAININGS

The Training programs of BNAEOPC are complied with the requirements of the Bulgarian and the European legislation, as well as the international standards concerning essential oil and cosmetic production. An annual training program is being prepared to give answers about current industry challenge.
